A short vacation ..a 4 to 5 days kinda…a break from busy routine if you get, what would you do for sure? What would i do??I would finish a book of one of my favourite authors…

Yes had a couple of days break where i , had nothing left over in the ‘to -do’ official duties list, need not rush to the workplace, had packed children off to the school , waved bye to hubby , with a carefree aura all around , sitting on my favourite black long armed chair with the creeper besides me attempting to climb over , the fresh betel leaves, itook “The secret wish list” of Preethi Shenoy in my hand!

Had always loved shenoy’s writing..the way she pulls up things, like strings they get streamlined into a plot , twists and tales wrapped further leading to a neat culmination at the end. I have a penchant for her vocabulary and thought provoking lines more than her plots…

So “The secret wish list” didnt disappoint me either..

i had my favourite lines ..many to quote ..like..

“Even if you are married, become a parent, deep down you are still the person you were before you became all of that..”

“There is really nothing terrible as being misunderstood”….

then there is this line..“When you cannot get some one out of your head…lalala..”

And saying about the story, Diksha was a darling with all her genuinity and feminine ness , it was in her narration the whole story moved and Shenoy does the wonder again..i could very well experience a walk besides her!

As i finish the walk, the sense of serenity , is that there at the end? yeah..its a feel good story , happy ending..but still… i could feel a lump on my throat. What if she could have mustered courage to speak up little earlier to Sandeep and walked out from the heavyness of a dumb marriage life , rather than doing so after reuniting with Ankit?. May be my traditional mind not approving of the “ all is fair in love” kind of attitude and am looking for political correctness in the plot.?

Anyways..Preethi, you gave a racy tale, of love , passion and yeah..friendships!

Tanu ..i was secretly thinking in the initial pages, was she the one who really played the villain during that adventurous passionate night? But fortunately Tanu n Dikshas friendship is saved ..Thank you Preethi for that…!

Am now thinking of jotting down my list!
